Pinot Gris
Planted in 2006. This sheltered site is well protected from the south. The soil in this vineyard is similar to the Meres vineyard, but with less sand and no ironstone present. This vineyard has been close planted. The rows are two metres wide and vines are planted 0.8 metres apart. Higher density planting will result in lower yields per vine, the end result being higher quality fruit.
